Carbohydrates are ready-to-use forms for the body. Carbohydrates, further due to the body’s metabolic activity, are converted into glycogen. Glycogen is the easiest form for cells to obtain energy. Due to its simple structure, cells can easily break down the system of glycogen and receive power. No favorable environment or catalyst is required to initiate the reaction. Mostly our body stores carbohydrates in the glycogen form only. These tired glycogen molecules will be used when there is a strong need for energy flow to the body, like times running or hitting cardio in the gym.

The next doorstep for the body is fats. Breaking down fats for energy gain is quite a complex process. The reaction is named as oxidation process and requires the efflux of surplus oxygen inside the body. Fat is stored in the body in the form of fat cells. When there is the absence of glycogen, the body starts oxidizing stored fat cells in the body. However, the amount of energy released in the fats is much less than the glycogen, but at the time of requirement, fat works effectively to save the body from collapsing.

The last doorstep is the proteins. Proteins are the building blocks of the body. This is the end door for the body to demand energy. Because at this state, the body has become very weak and can collapse anytime if not given proper treatment. This is the stage when the body starts eating up its cells. The last step for energy requirement must always be prevented as it means risking your life till death. Be strict in your calorie intake and check the energy gain from the product you are taking.
